questions
How often do heat exchangers need to be cleaned?
That depends largely on the medium. While closed heating-water circuits often run for years without cleaning, heat exchangers in dairies or those used to cool raw water must be cleaned regularly. We determine the optimal cleaning cycle based on your pressure-loss monitoring.
Does ETS also supply spare parts for other manufacturers’ equipment?
Yes. We supply plates and gaskets from stock in Switzerland. We carry replacement gaskets in NBR, EPDM, and Viton.
How does thermal optimization work?
You provide us with the current operating data. Our project engineers simulate the exchanger in our documented in-house software, which can also reliably calculate special gas and liquid compositions. Optimization modules enable additional material and cost savings. Often we can significantly increase efficiency with a different plate corrugation pattern or a modified bundle layout, thereby saving material and cost without having to replace the casing or the piping.
